4 Fun Things to Do in San Diego

Things to do in San Diego

I love San Diego. What Philadelphia is to Jon, San Diego is to me. If you were to consider a checklist, San Diego has:

  • Incredible food
  • Great weather
  • Exciting events
  • Interesting neighborhoods

So if you’re looking to sell your house quickly, these are attractive selling points for prospective buyers. We buy houses in San Diego and ensure that we sell the city, too.

1. Balboa Park

Fun activities in San Diego

Balboa Park is one of my favorite spots in San Diego. It has something for everyone. For the outdoorsy kind, the park offers easy hiking and running trails. Additionally, the park features breathtaking architecture and koi ponds.

My wife and I habitually visit Balboa Park every weekend for a long run. It’s a fun activity for us as a couple.

2. Eat at Convoy Street

Convoy Street is a hotspot for anyone in San Diego. If someone were to ask me about the fun things to do in San Diego, I’d recommend eating at Convoy Street. Whenever Jon visits, we eat our way through the different cuisines Convoy Street has to offer. If you’re not troubled by finding parking spots and tiny streets, then Convoy Street should be on your list when visiting San Diego.

Convoy Street in Kearny Mesa attracts renters. There’s a high chance you may come across an open house as people move in and out a lot. Our stager, Debbie, recommends Kearny Mesa as a “haven for tenants who seek fun and life in San Diego.”

3. San Diego Zoo

Exciting events in San Diego

Funny story? The San Diego Zoo is located in Balboa Park! I would describe the San Diego Zoo as “a cornerstone of San Diego’s residents”.

We recently visited the San Diego Zoo with the team from Brotherly Love Real Estate. We chose the spot for its vibrant fauna, amenities, and memories. The team bonded throughout the day as we explored the zoo.

“I was concerned that the zoo might be packed, but since we visited on a workday, the experience was a whole new level.”

4. Hike Torrey Pines State Reserve

Torrey Pines - San Diego

If you’re up for a decent hike, Torrey Pines State Reserve is the place. You may find it strange, but I have always found San Diego exciting. The city’s fabric is always up for a challenge, and it screams positivity and energy.

Tips For Planning Your Visit to San Diego

Now that you’ve decided on San Diego, consider the events. What’s fun? What’s engaging? And what’s easy?

“San Diego is relaxation central. If I had to pick one city to visit every other vacation if I wasn’t a resident, it’d be San Diego. That’s how loyal I am to the city.”

Summary

Doesn’t San Diego sound fun?
